The Medical Perspective on Housing First
Time & Location
About the Event
Housing is a public health issue. Living without housing for extended periods of time can have serious negative effects on the health of an individual and their community. Chronic homelessness due to a lack of affordable supportive housing increases risk of certain ilnesses, including asthma, mental health issues, and HIV/AIDS. Likewise, the prevalence of such illnesses puts unnecessary strain on the public health infrastructure of our community. Come join us and Dr. Jonathan Gabbay to learn about how a Housing First model can improve public health in Cambridge!
